Jessica is a Canadian filmmaker and actor. Her work explores how personal elements like gender and identity connect with broader cultural narratives and often experiments with subverting and blending genres.

Her short films’ Between Realities Along the Edge of Time (2021) premiered at Montreal Festival du Nouveau Cinéma and Bing! Bang! Bi! (2020) screened at several festivals including Inside Out and Frameline. Jessica produced and starred in the short film Taos (2019), which won a Jury Award at the Santa Fe International Film Festival. As an actor, she has guest starred in numerous television series and was the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of independent theatre company, Heart in Hand. Her work has been supported by Telefilm, Canada Council for the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Inside Out's RE:Focus Fund and acquired for broadcast by CBC.

Death by Landscape (2023), Picture This (2024) and Manitoulin, with love (2024) are recent experimental micro shorts on 16mm and Super 8.

Her co-written feature The Way Out was selected for the Mubi/Wscripted 2022 Cannes Screenplay List. Jessica recently completed her MFA in Screenwriting at York University and is developing her first feature Tides, with Nice Picture.
